Level 1 Introduction to Health and Safety
Course Aim
This short introductory course is aimed at all employees and assumes no former knowledge of H&S. The course provides a framework for formal health & safety induction and provides participants with a basic knowledge of health and safety in the workplace, including the duties of employers and employees under UK health and safety legislation.

All employees and supervisors who need a basic understanding of the principles of health and safety, and management of common hazards.

Objectives
By the end of the programme, the candidate will be able to: -
Understand the importance of health, safety and welfare
Know how hazards and risks are controlled in the workplace
Be aware of the main causes and effects of poor health and safety at work
Understand how health and safety information is communicated in the workplace
Examination Information
There is a short multi-choice test at the end of the course. Candidates are required to correctly answer 20 out of 30 questions in order to receive a certificate issued by Complete Health & Safety Ltd.
Duration of Course
This course is delivered in 3 hours.
Courses are held in Sussex but can also be held at a venue of your choice in Surrey, London and Kent
